Welcome to Primal Fear Tarantulas! We’re so glad you’re here. Who are we? We are Frank and Gloria Chavez, owners of Franksbuggin661 & as most of you know now Primal Fear Tarantulas. Our journey in this hobby began in March of 2019 when Gloria suggested we get a pet tarantula. I have always been a big fan of tarantulas, but never owned one as a pet. We started out with two different species, a T. Albo (Curly Hair) and an Avic Avic (Pink Toe). It wasn’t long before I fell in love with these amazing creatures that I decided to take my passion to the next level. Over time, I’ve added more species to our collection to learn as much as I could about proper husbandry and breeding. Now, we have more than 1000 tarantulas, including new world and old world!
In addition to Tarantulas themselves, I’m passionate about education! My goal is to show the world how beautiful and misunderstood these creatures really are. If you’re one of the millions of people who struggle with the fear of spiders, come check out my TikTok channel, Franksbuggin661, where we host LIVE feeding, breeding, rehousing and much more! Come hang out, meet some AMAZING people and ask as many questions as you want. We believe education is the key to showing the world that Tarantulas are to be loved not feared.
This year (2024) I got the amazing opportunity to purchase Primal Fear tarantulas and not only breed and sell my tarantulas but to offer a wide range of habitats for these beautiful creatures. My goal has and will always be to provide the best customer service and the most competitive prices around. Gloria and I are dedicated to working not only with our US customer base but to continue to provide our Canadian customers with these quality habitats.
When you order from us you are helping our dream of making this our full-time business a reality. You will also get the unique opportunity to watch your spider be packed LIVE on TikTok. Thank you for checking us out and welcome to the “Buggin Family.”
Vow it started
From Frustration to Innovation: The Birth of Primal Fear Tarantulas Enclosures
I got my first Tarantula back in 1990 at the age of 15 and have
been interested in tarantulas and other invertebrates ever since.
Over the years I have had many tarantulas but in 2001 during
Covid, I really started to build a collection.
As a collector I found it extremely frustrating to find quality
tarantula enclosures in Canada. There are some really great
options south of the boarder but due to the value of the Canadian
dollar combined with duties and taxes, it just wasn’t worth
importing from the USA. After searching both my local pet stores
and online and talking with fellow Canadians on social media, I
found that there was a serious demand for invertebrate
enclosures in Canada that were both functional and affordable.
I am committed to providing both Canadians and Americans with quality acrylic
enclosures at competitive prices! Not only are our enclosures
affordable, they are also made from some of the clearest acrylic
available offering a crystal clear 360 degree view of your
invertebrate.
