The Peach Earth tiger, also known as “Mr Stretchy Pants,” is a stunning arboreal tarantula found on the Indonesian island of Java. They have a beautiful peach to orange coloration, with a tiger-striped pattern on their abdomen that becomes darker as they grow larger. These spiders enjoy burrowing and may create a shelter that is part underground and part vertical/arboreal. To accommodate their needs, enclosures should have a fair amount of substrate and a vertical piece of driftwood or cork bark. While feeding or conducting maintenance, it is important to be cautious due to their snap-defensive behaviors.
