Lasiodora parahybana, also known as the Brazilian salmon bird-eating spider, is a species of tarantula native to Brazil. It is one of the largest tarantulas in the world, with a leg span of up to 10 inches (25 cm). The spider’s body is covered in dense, reddish-brown hair, with distinctive salmon-pink hairs on its abdomen. They are known for their aggressive behavior and powerful bite, but are also popular as pets due to their size and striking appearance. In the wild, they primarily feed on insects, small vertebrates, and even other spiders.
